 Do not buy here books from this seller
I bought a book and they send and it has not arrived yet, they sent me a tracking number and the books is not in the post office. I think that I already lost my money.
 Good for quick speedy reading
I had to write my paper in less than 3 months and found this book enormously helpful in running the most basic tests and analyses on SAS. If you want to have a comprehensive lesson on SAS, I recommend buying a thicker book (like the sky-blue SAS little-book-primer-whatever-that-title-is book). Also, you definitely need to spend many hours in front of the computer with a GOOD dataset that has a sample size less than 30,000 (as i have learned) in order to learn SAS from this book.
Anyway, for those who are in a hurry, this book is satisfactory.

it's user-friendly esp. for beginners or for those who have limited experience with SAS.
Datasets all present now
The problem with some datasets being not available has been taken care of by Duxbury. This is a good reference for those beginning students who need to use SAS and who want some guidance by example of how to implement selected statistical procedures using SAS.
Data Sets Not Available
The Strength of this book is the "hands on" use of SAS. [Actually, this is what the author, Rebecca J. Elliott, perceives as the strength.] This strength is accomplished by completing the exercises at the end of each of the 23 modules. However, to complete the exercises you must download 36 data sets from the publisher, Duxbury, of which only 23 are available. Thus, many module exercises can not be completed because of the lack of data sets, negating the strength of this book. In fact, in many modules, over 50% of the exercises can not be completed because Duxbury does not provide the data set needed on their web page.I have e-mailed Duxbury numerous times alerting them of the data set availability problem, but have received no response. Thus, I urge anyone considering buying this book to reconsider.
